About the Role

Due to ongoing growth, we are urgently seeking a reliable, physically fit, and motivated Offsider / Runner to join our Altona-based team immediately. In this role, you will partner with our experienced drivers to ensure the safe, efficient, and professional delivery and installation of sensitive freight across Victoria.

Because we handle highly specialized equipment (such as medical devices and large IT infrastructure), this role requires care, precision, and excellent customer service over general heavy haulage.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Driver: Navigate routes, manage communications, and assist with vehicle parking and site access.

• Freight Handling: Safely load, unload, pack, and unpack high-value and sensitive equipment.

• Site Installation & Staging: Assist with moving equipment into commercial premises, hospitals, and laboratories, often utilizing specialized moving equipment (stair climbers, pallet jacks, etc.).

• Customer Service: Act as the face of the company on-site, providing polite, professional, and helpful service to our clients.

• Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all OHS/WHS site requirements and internal safety protocols.

What We Are Looking For

• Immediate Availability: Ready to start work immediately.

• Early Riser: Must be punctual and completely reliable for a strict 6:00 AM start at our Altona depot.

• Physical Fitness: This role involves manual handling, lifting, and moving heavy/awkward freight safely.

• Professional Presentation: Clear communication skills and a polite demeanor for client-facing deliveries.

• Safety Mindset: A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

• Experience (Bonus): Previous experience in removals, sensitive freight, or as a truck offsider is highly regarded, but a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are most important.

• Requirements: reliable transport to Altona, and the ability to pass a National Police Check (due to the sensitive nature of our freight and client sites).
